James Monroe Iglehart is one of everyone’s favorite Bay Area-to-Broadway stories. We’ve cheered him on for years at TheatreWorks, Foothill Music Theatre and other local stages. Today, this musical-theater powerhouse has fans all over the world.
Just in time for Valentine’s Day, we released a new adaptation of Shakespeare’s “Much Ado About Nothing,” adapted by Max Tachis and directed by Caitlin Papp. The cast includes City Lights favorites Melissa Mei Jones, Maria Giere Marquis and Jeffrey Bracco.
In 2014, City Lights hosted the world premiere of “Truce: A Christmas Wish from the Great War” by Kit Wilder and Jeffrey Bracco. This moving play based on the real-life story of the World War I Christmas truce was such a hit that we’ve brought it back as a new radio play to warm you during a difficult season.
In tonight’s episode of “Spooky Lights,” your creepy tales are “Nightfall” by Robert Martin Chase, “Holy Company / Santa Compaña” by Ivette Deltoro, and “Ghost” by Rosalie Price. Get ready to shiver.
