Watch Past Shows
Did you miss a broadcast on The Next Stage? No worries! We make recordings of all our broadcasts available to watch for free on City Lights’ YouTube channel.
These days, the series is still going strong, and complements our mainstage productions. We love hanging out with our directors, actors, designers and other artists in the intimate Zoom room and getting the scoop in making theater! We recently had a great talkback with artists from our mainstage play The River Bride. Watch here.
And mark your calendars for Wednesday, Oct. 4. At 6 p.m., we’ll welcome playwright Kit Wilder, director Jeffrey Bracco, and other artists from our fall world premiere Toxic. Sign up by “buying” a free ticket, and we’ll send you the Zoom link.
The Next Stage started as a weekly program when we couldn’t make art on our stage. Every week, we spotlighted artists in new plays, concerts, interviews and classes. Today, with the theater open, The Next Stage is a monthly series that often spotlights artists from our current mainstage show, offering deeper insight and up-close connections.
All programs are free to watch. But if you donate just $10 a month ($7 for season-pass holders), you’ll become a Next Stage member with lots of perks, including exclusive content and the knowledge that you’re supporting our artists.
