Why and How to Give

You know City Lights is a major cultural asset in our community. Perhaps you value our artistic quality, the exuberance of our shows, or our risk-taking scripts? Whatever the reason, we’re glad you’re here. In an expensive area that’s tough for nonprofits, we’re proud that City Lights, a registered 501(c)(3), closed 16 straight years in the black before Covid-19.

During the shutdown, we stayed busy with a new online series, podcast channel, and other creative endeavors — and kept all regular staff employed and deployed, with no mandatory furloughs. Now here we are, thrilled to be back for our 21-22 season.

Please donate and help us keep creating innovative theater for you in this time of rebuilding. In addition to accepting cash and in-kind donations, City Lights offers many ways to make your gift, and benefits for giving. Please contact us at citylights@cltc.org or 408-295-4200 with questions or other ideas. Thank you!

There are many ways to support City Lights, from making an online donation to giving while you shop, donating goods, or including the theater in your plans.

Our Donors

These generous friends — corporate, foundation and organization supporters, along with individual donors — keep our lights shining brightly. Applause to all.

Corporate Sponsorship

Corporate sponsors make it possible for us to reach and grow beyond our wildest dreams. And theater people dream big.

Be A Producer

Join our producers’ circle and be a part of City Lights’ storytelling on a whole new level. As a bonus, the perks are fabulous.

Annual Fundraiser

We throw a heck of a party, even if it’s an online fundraiser with our musical guests singing on Twitch. Thank you for joining us on May 7. It was awesome!
