With his soulful voice and warm stage presence, singer/songwriter, producer and actor AJ Jaffari has delighted City Lights audiences in Kinky Boots and Big Band concerts with the Nineteen ensemble. On Sunday, Aug. 3, at 7 p.m., AJ brings us a solo concert celebrating his new album, Stay Awhile.
Enjoy fresh songs from the new release, as well as other songs that AJ has written and released in the past few years. Combining fresh beats with vintage sounds, AJ discovers himself through the truth of love, heartbreak and ’60s Americana. His influences include Lana Del Rey and similar artists of Hollywood sadcore.
Just announced: Special guest Bart Perry — Dr. Frank-N-Furter in Richard O’Brien’s The Rocky Horror Show (2024) and Lola in Kinky Boots (2023) — will open for AJ by singing a few songs of his own!
