Why you should see Dracula

Because the entire City Lights team laughed so hard while reading the script that we all begged Executive Artistic Director Lisa Mallette to let us do this show. (She was laughing, too. It was an easy sell.)
Because how often does one actor get to play the plucky ingenue and the kleptomaniac maid and a man-eating wolf?
Because who knew Dracula was such a rockstar?

Synopsis

Take Bram Stoker’s legendary vampire story and pop it into a blender with Mel Brooks, Monty Python and The 39 Steps. Then enjoy this lightning-fast, gender-bending comedy featuring lots of wordplay and five actors playing over a dozen roles. When her sister Mina is struck by a mysterious disease of the blood, Lucy Westfeldt and her fiancé enlist the help of famed female vampire hunter Doctor Jean Van Helsing. Could the answer lie with the dangerous — and seriously hot — Count Dracula?
