You know our intimate stage is a great place to experience jazz. On Sunday, April 13, at 4 p.m., delve into the myriad sounds of modern jazz with both veteran and emerging musicians!
“An Afternoon of Modern Jazz” features both Nineteen, San Jose’s professional Big Band, led by bassist Gus Kambeitz; and the San Jose Youth Symphony Jazz Ensemble, led by trumpet player Ricky Martinez. The youth ensemble features high school and very advanced middle school students.
Expect a perfectly eclectic blend of modern sounds, including music by the iconic pianist Stan Kenton, trumpeter / drummer Don Ellis, and Radiohead.
