Dear City Lights family,
As we close out this season, I want to begin with something simple and true: thank you. For your generosity, your presence, and your belief in the power of live theater. You are the reason City Lights continues to grow, innovate, and shine. This has been a remarkable year, and it’s because of this community who shows up, cheers loudly, and gives what they can to keep the arts thriving in Silicon Valley.
Together, we’ve created work that stretched our imaginations and sparked conversations. From the world premiere of Running After Shadows, to the technological leaps behind anthropology, to the many other productions, concerts, and gatherings that filled our lobby with laughter, thoughts, feelings and connections – this season has been a celebration of what’s possible when individuals believe in the arts.
“I feel compelled to support organizations like City Lights that bring such joy and creativity into the world and that have given me so many laughs and moments of reflection. City Lights has provided opportunities for creative expression to those who may not have another place to do so, and has showcased the best of what it means to be human.”
– Dan Hill, City Lights patron since 2015.
One of the most inspiring trends this year has been the rise in individual giving. Support from people just like you is a powerful reminder that the heart of City Lights has always been its community. Not foundations. Not big institutions. You. The people who care about our unique brand of storytelling and who believe that theater should and must be here for the next generation.
You’re helping us build the future. One where new voices are nurtured, where artists can take risks, and where audiences of all ages feel welcome and inspired. As we look ahead, we’re filled with hope and we’d love to keep our momentum going.
Has City Lights made you laugh, think, feel, or connect with others this year?
Then I invite you to make a gift today to help us finish this season strong.
You can donate at cltc.org/donate. Thank you for being part of the City Lights family and for believing in the magic we make together.
With gratitude,
Lisa Mallette
