Current opportunities

New plays:

Playwrights, actors and directors are invited to submit applications to be part of our Lights Up! festival of new plays, which takes place April 27-29, 2018. We’re also seeking new members for our play-reading committee. Learn more and apply by July 31, 2017.

Intern / manager opportunities:

City Lights is seeking house managers to join our team. We’re looking for outgoing, organized, and generally awesome theater people. Responsibilities include ticket sales, box-office management, social media, promotion, office projects, and engaging with our wonderful audiences. To apply, submit a resume to Development Director Anne Younan at anne@cltc.org

We’re also seeking a part-time marketing intern (two afternoons a week) to help City Lights tell its stories through social media, web content, design and good old-fashioned print. Excellent writing skills and experience with Photoshop or Pages a plus. You don’t have to sing a show tune to be considered, though we would applaud heartily. Send your resume to Marketing Director Rebecca Wallace at rebecca@cltc.org

Assistant stage managers are needed for the 2017-18 season. The best candidate will be a recent high school graduate or college student who is interested in becoming a stage manager. Some experience in stage management or backstage work is required. Be willing to learn from experienced stage managers, work hard, and work as part of a team. This is a paid position. To set up an interview, send a resume and contact information to Production Manager Ron Gasparinetti at ron@cltc.org.

Casting:

City Lights hosts Theatre Bay Area’s South Bay regional auditions each year. These auditions are the best way to be seen by us if you’re interested in a callback for any of our shows. You can also email your theater resume and headshot to us at any time. Please send them to Casting and Administrative Assistant Ivette Deltoro at ivette@cltc.org.
